All-everything high school and college student-athlete who came back to Notre Dame Prep to teach and coach is included in the inaugural class of the school's Athletic Hall of Fame.
2000 ND Prep alum Bobbie Bieszki
On Friday, Feb. 7, Notre Dame Prep will induct its first class into the Athletic Hall of Fame, which features alumni, an administrator and coach, and a longtime parent volunteer and supporter. The inaugural class for the year 2024 includes Bobbie Bieszki NDP'00, Molly Coldren NDP'08, Mike Durkin, Nathan Mylenek NDP'16 and Betty Wroubel.
As we get closer to that special night, we are profiling each inductee, one at a time, with today's focus on alumna Bobbie Bieszki NDP'00.
A 2000 Notre Dame Prep graduate, Bieszki was the first division 1 scholarship athlete from the school. She also was a Dirty Dozen award recipient, earning varsity letters all four years in volleyball, basketball and softball, and earned first team All-State honors in both basketball and softball. An All-State honorable mention for volleyball, Bieszki also received the Notre Dame Prep Female Athlete of the Year award in 2000.
The ultimate team player, Bieszki helped lead Notre Dame Prep to four district championships in volleyball and two district championships each in basketball and softball. Following high school, she played four years of basketball and two years of softball at Oakland University, helping lead the Golden Grizzlies to NCAA tournament appearances in both sports in 2002. She eventually returned to her high school alma mater as a teacher and has helped coach numerous sports including girls and boys basketball, softball and football.

"Bobbie left a tremendous legacy of team and individual awards at NDP as a four-year varsity letter winner in volleyball, basketball and softball," said Jeff Hall, Bieszki's husband and currently a football, basketball and baseball coach. "However, more importantly, she would be the first to say that NDP provided her with valuable life lessons and academics that led to her success in the classroom at Oakland University while playing two division 1 sports."
"Bobbie's return to NDP as a a well-respected member of the faculty and coaching staff has now impacted hundreds of students and athletes that have attended NDP," he added.
An induction ceremony for the inaugural class, which coincides with the 30th anniversary of Notre Dame Prep, will be held at halftime of the NDP boys varsity basketball game against Genesee Christian School on Friday, Feb. 7, with tip off at 5:30 p.m. Following, the NDP girls varsity basketball team will take on Genesee Christian School at 7 p.m.
A meet and greet will be held in the athletics triangle following the induction. The Notre Dame Prep athletic booster club will also be hosting a basket raffle throughout the evening with proceeds benefiting Notre Dame Prep athletics and the hall of fame.
For the Notre Dame Prep Athletic Hall of Fame's Class of 2025, nominations are due by May 1, 2025. Please click here for more information.
