It’s been another extraordinary year at one of the state's top Catholic schools. From stories about alumni, current students and faculty and staff to those about Notre Dame Prep's innovative curriculum, artificial intelligence and its signature academic program, the IB, we take a look back at some of the more than 100 stories of this past calendar year that resonated most with our online community.

MISSION-FOCUSED DESIGN  Notre Dame Prep's first-in-the-nation engineering and empathy class is working on developing products to assist firefighters and quadriplegics.

NEW STRATEGIC PLAN SHAPES FUTURE OF NOTRE DAME PREP  Building on the success of its 30-year history, Notre Dame Prep released a new, five-year strategic plan this spring. The plan reflects the school’s Catholic, Marist mission and articulates focus on the next few years.


FOUR SENIORS SIGN TO PLAY SPORTS AT THE NEXT LEVEL  Four Notre Dame student-athletes are celebrated in front of classmates after committing to play athletics at the next level.


IB PROGRAM LEADS TO SAFETY EQUIPMENT FOR NDP  School takes possession of new automated external defibrillators purchased after NDP students raised money as part of their fifth-grade IB-PYP exhibition.


FEELING SAFE AND PROVIDING SUPPORT AT NOTRE DAME PREP  Pontiac Notre Dame Prep navigates through a number of close-to-home tragic events with community support, security and prayer.


MIDDLE YEARS MINDEDNESS  Two research reports focus on "open mindedness" and "critical thinking" in the outcomes of students studying within the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program.


TAKING A LOVE OF NATURE TO THE IVY LEAGUE  New Notre Dame Prep graduate begins university studies in the fall at Cornell University after a couple of precollege science programs at both Brown University and Cornell.
