The people and moments behind NDP’s most-read stories of 2025: community, achievement and faith; what readers clicked on most this year.

As 2025 draws to a close, Notre Dame Prep is once again celebrating the stories that most captured the attention of readers throughout the year. With more than 150 news articles published on ndprep.org since January, the school’s marketing and communications team continued its longstanding effort to chronicle the achievements of students, alumni, faculty, staff and the wider community — a direct reflection of NDP’s commitment to maintaining its status as one of Michigan’s leading Catholic schools.

These top 30 most-viewed stories of the year highlight the breadth of activity on our PreK-12 campus — from academic milestones and athletic triumphs to human-interest features and institutional updates — and underscore a school with a robust story to tell.

(The list of 30 top articles at the bottom of the page is in no particular order.)

Among the year’s most-read articles was the announcement of the 2025 Super Raffle winning numbers, a perennial favorite among families and alumni. The post drew strong traffic as the community checked in to see this year’s results.

Leadership and institutional news also resonated with readers. The unveiling of the school’s simplified tuition model for the 2026–27 school year sparked significant interest as families sought details about the upcoming policy change. The announcement of new Board trustees and committee appointments similarly drew wide attention, underscoring the school’s forward-looking governance.

Athletics a popular topic

Athletics continued to be a strong driver of engagement. The school’s announcement of its inaugural Athletic Hall of Fame class drew enthusiastic readership as the community celebrated foundational figures in NDP sports. Coaching news landed prominently as well, including the naming of a new varsity girls basketball coach and the introduction of a new basketball coach in the boys program

Stories celebrating student-athletes were also among the most viewed. Six seniors who signed to compete at the collegiate level earned a top spot on the list, as did another feature highlighting four additional seniors who committed to playing sports at the next level. End-of-year awards for senior student-athletes generated further interest, marking achievements on and off the field.

Academics and alumni celebrated once again

Academic excellence shined throughout the year’s coverage. The community followed news of National Merit Scholarship Finalist honors and celebrated Evans Scholarship recipients, both of which placed highly among the most-read stories. The school also marked a major academic milestone with a feature on its 2025 IB Diploma Program candidates, celebrating the rigor and achievement associated with the International Baccalaureate curriculum. Plus, the unique ways NDP pairs the IB with a faith‑community ethos also is highlighted in a piece called Global Thinking. Catholic Values. Educational Excellence.

Notre Dame Prep’s alumni features drew consistent readership as well. A profile of alumna Natalie Burg, who has embraced global opportunities at William & Mary, captured strong interest, reflecting the enduring connection between graduates and their alma mater. Plus, a creative profile titled Whirling Dervish of Creativity highlighted another successful artist and graduate.

Campus life and human-interest stories were also prominent. A feature on a senior who earned a pilot certification, titled Senior Takes Flight, was one of the year’s most engaging reads, highlighting the ambition and passion NDP students bring to their pursuits off campus. Other well-read features included articles on NDP students, faculty and first responders "climbing stairs" for a charitable cause, and families enduring long commutes to school undertaken with dedication.

Faculty and staff achievements were also celebrated. For example, the retirement of a longtime teacher remembered for his devotion to faith, students and school resonated deeply within the community, earning a prominent place among the most-read articles.

Reputation burnished

The school’s reputation for excellence received national recognition as well. A story announcing that Notre Dame Prep was named to a Top 100 national list earned substantial readership and served as a point of pride for the entire school community.

Creative and co-curricular celebrations rounded out the year. Coverage of the Scholastic Art Awards, a trip of a lifetime, and the school's first Gala described as A Night to Remember each contributed to the diverse tapestry of campus life captured in this year’s top stories.

With more than 150 stories published in 2025, the depth and variety of content illustrate Notre Dame Prep’s vigorous news-gathering mission — one that highlights the achievements, values and everyday moments that define the school. As the year concludes, the top 30 articles serve not only as a reflection of what captured readers’ attention, but also as a reminder of the vibrancy and dedication that continue to position Notre Dame Prep as a leading Catholic school in Southeast Michigan.
