A 24-hour, community-wide effort to support the programs, people, and passions that define a Notre Dame Prep education.

Notre Dame Prep is excited to announce its third annual Irish Day of Giving, happening Friday, March 13, and this year’s theme says it all: “Many Passions. One Fund.”

From the classroom to the stage, from the athletic field to robotics lab, NDP students and faculty bring incredible energy and enthusiasm to everything they do. Irish Day of Giving is a celebration of those passions and an opportunity for our community to come together to support what makes a Notre Dame Prep education so special.

All gifts made during Irish Day of Giving support the Notre Dame Fund, the school’s annual fund, which helps provide essential resources across campus, including: safety and security, athletics and student wellness, robotics, performing and visual arts, diversity and inclusion initiatives, teacher training, signature programs like The Amazing Shake, and so much more that tuition alone cannot fully cover.

Every gift, no matter the size, helps ensure our students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade can explore their interests, grow their talents, and thrive.

“Thanks to the generosity of our community, last year’s Irish Day of Giving raised more than $100,000 from 414 supporters,” said Matt Rzepecki, director of the Notre Dame Fund and annual giving.

“This year, we are aiming for 450 donors, and we need everyone’s help to reach that goal. A gift of any size makes a difference and shows our students that their passions matter.”

The competitions are back

Irish Day of Giving would not be complete without a little friendly competition, and this year’s challenges are returning across all divisions. In the upper school, Irish Week points are up for grabs again! The class with the highest number of donations will earn the most points toward the coveted Irish Week competition. Similarly, in the middle school, House points are on the line again. And in the lower school, it’s all about the pizza. The grade with the highest number of donors will receive a pizza party, courtesy of the Advancement Office.

This year the Office of Advancement will up the prize ante with ice cream. At the lower school, any student whose parent or grandparent makes a donation will be entered into a raffle to win an ice cream party for their grade (one entry per donor). At the middle school, any student whose parent or grandparent makes a donation will be entered into a raffle to win an ice cream party for their house (one entry per donor). At the upper school, any student who donates $10 or more will be entered into a raffle to win an ice cream party for their class (one entry per student).

Irish Day of Giving is a 24-hour fundraising challenge that takes place on March 13, but gifts can be made anytime starting now. If you are ready to support the passions that make Notre Dame Prep extraordinary, visit ndprep.org/IrishDay.

“Irish Day of Giving is about coming together as one Notre Dame Prep community. Reaching our goal takes all of us, and we are hoping for 100 percent participation from families, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends. Every gift, at any level, shows our students that this community believes in them. Together, we can fund the programs, opportunities, and experiences that shape our students every day,” Rzepecki said.
