BOARD ISSUES PROCLAMATIONS HONORING STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Notre Dame Prep's Board of Trustees issues official proclamations honoring the first-ever state championships earned this fall by the boys soccer and football programs. Administration also announces a day off of school on Feb. 10, 2025, the day after the Super Bowl, in celebration of our first state titles in boys soccer and football.

Today at the end of the last all-school Mass of 2024 (feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of the Americas), Head of School Andy Guest read to the Notre Dame Prep community the official proclamations issued Dec. 4 by the school's Board of Trustees celebrating the fall state championships won by the Irish boys soccer and football teams.

Guest also announced to the delight of all present that the school further honors its recent state champions by declaring Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, the day after the Super Bowl, as a school day off for all three divisions.


Resolution of the Notre Dame Preparatory School Board of Trustees
Honoring the NDP 2024 Boys Varsity Soccer Team's MHSAA Division 3 State Championship 

WHEREAS, the Notre Dame Preparatory Boys Varsity Soccer Team has demonstrated exceptional skill, teamwork, sportsmanship and perseverance throughout the 2024 season; and 

WHEREAS, the team achieved an outstanding 23-2 record, exemplifying their dedication, discipline, and excellence in the sport of soccer; and 

WHEREAS, their hard work, unity, and commitment to success culminated in the team earning the MHSAA Division 3 State Championship, bringing great pride and recognition to the Notre Dame Preparatory School community; and 

WHEREAS, the coaches, staff, fellow students, alumni and entire soccer community provided unparalleled support, encouragement, and leadership, contributing significantly to this historic achievement; and 

WHEREAS, the Boys Varsity Soccer Team has inspired the school community with their dedication to sportsmanship, respect, and determination both on and off the field. 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Notre Dame Preparatory School Board of Trustees formally commends and congratulates the Boys Varsity Soccer Team on their exceptional season and their MHSAA Division 3 State Championship victory; and 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be recorded in the official minutes of the Board and shared with the entire Notre Dame Preparatory School community as a celebration of the team's remarkable success. 

Adopted this 4th day of December 2024, with deep appreciation for the Boys Varsity Soccer Team's exemplary performance and representation of the Catholic and Marist values of Notre Dame Preparatory School.

WHEREAS, the Notre Dame Preparatory Varsity Football Team has demonstrated extraordinary athleticism, teamwork, and perseverance during the 2024 season; and 

WHEREAS, the team achieved an impressive 12-1 record, exemplifying excellence on the field and embodying the values of determination, discipline, and sportsmanship; and 

WHEREAS, through their relentless effort and unwavering dedication, the team brought pride and recognition to the Notre Dame Preparatory School community by winning the MHSAA Division 5 State Championship; and 

WHEREAS, the coaches, staff, fellow students, and supporters of the team provided exceptional guidance, training, and encouragement, contributing to this historic achievement; and 

WHEREAS, the Varsity Football Team has inspired students, faculty, alumni, and the broader community with their commitment to excellence and unity; 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Notre Dame Preparatory School Board of Trustees formally commends and congratulates the Varsity Football Team on their outstanding season and MHSAA Division 5 State Championship victory; and 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution be entered into the official records of the Board and shared with the entire Notre Dame Preparatory School community as a testament to the team's remarkable accomplishments. 

Adopted this 4th day of December 2024, with gratitude and admiration for the Varsity Football Team's exemplary performance, sportsmanship and commitment to NDP's Catholic and Marist values.
