On Monday, April 28, after celebrating Mass together for the feast of St. Peter Chanel, Notre Dame Prep’s administration announced its major athletic awards in front of students, faculty and staff. Male and female scholar-athlete of the year, athlete of the year and eight “Dirty Dozen” honors were awarded as follows. . .
Scholar Athlete of the Year
Given to one senior male and one female athlete annually and voted on by a committee of coaches, administrators and faculty members, this award is given to an accomplished athlete who also exhibits a strong combination of athletic ability and academic achievement. It requires a minimum 3.6 cumulative GPA and the student-athlete must participate in a minimum of two sports during his or her senior year.

Athlete of the Year

It requires a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA and the student-athlete must participate in a minimum of two sports during his or her senior year.

Dirty Dozen Award
The Dirty Dozen Award recognizes high school students who participate in 12 consecutive seasons of athletics. To earn this award, a student-athlete at Notre Dame Prep must complete 12 consecutive seasons of athletics in good standing at the freshman, JV or varsity levels in a sport in which the MHSAA sponsors a championship tournament.
