St. Peter Chanel Library

To be your best, you need the best resources. At Notre Dame, you will have access to the state-of-the-art St. Peter Chanel Library, renovated in 2018 to include two new private study rooms and an open space perfect for small and large group meetings. The library is staffed by two full-time accredited librarians.

We have thousands of print books, e-books, and audiobooks available to check out for academic research or pleasure. Looking for a book that’s not on the shelf? You can likely get it through our partnership in the MeL RIDES system.

With our library, you will be able to utilize up to 30 level-appropriate online databases, such as JSTOR, Academic One-File, and History Today. The content in these databases will elevate your research and writing in the classroom.

The library also boasts stress relief activities such as board games, chess, and arts and crafts. Students can piece together the community jigsaw puzzle, create their own buttons, or color, among other things.

The library—shared by students in grades 6 through 12—is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
